Tribute to Brother Denis O’Driscoll.
Our Oxford Circle has lost one of its most valued members with the passing of Brother Denis O’Driscoll after a catastrophic fall from which he received a trauma to his head from which he was unable to recover.
Brother Denis is a Past President of the Circle and held the role of Secretary for several years. He has also held many Council positions including more recently as Provincial Councillor. He was held in high esteem in our circle and was a source of institutional knowledge for the Council being very familiar with the traditions, formalities, and operations of the Catenian Association. His main attribute however was that he embodied what it means to be a Catenian with compassion for members and widows and an innate kindness reaching out to anyone in trouble. No effort was too much for him and he was always ready to take on additional challenges. For these reasons he was extremely well regarded across Province and at a National level.
If anyone wants to know what a Catenian should be, think Denis O’Driscoll.
A tribute page has been set up for Denis with information about His funeral and link for donations to His favourite charity, should anyone wishes to support: https://denisodriscoll.
